DOS RESEÑAS DIFERENTES

dos reseñas diferentes

Estos son dos libros que he leído recientemente. Ninguna de los dos me ha gustado mucho, y no tenía mucho que decir sobre ellos en una reseña normal. Así que haré sus reseñas juntas, aquí.

El primer libro es Eve & Adam de Michael Grant y Katherine Applegate.

SINOPSIS: "Y la chica creó al chico. 

En el inicio, había una manzana. Y después hubo un accidente automovilístico, una horrible y debilitante herida, y un hospital. Pero antes de que Evening Spiker pudiera recuperar la conciencia, había un extraño chico sacándola del hospital y llevándola rápidamente a biofarmacéuticos Spiker, la unidad de investigación de su madre. Una vez ahí, Eve debe sanar y lidiar con un escalofriante aislamiento sólo interrumpido por su fastidiosa madre, un extraño grupo de doctores, y el misterioso chico que la llevó a ese lugar.Justo cuando Eve creía que moriría, no por sus heridas sino de aburrimiento. Su madre le da un proyecto especial: Crear al chico perfecto.Usando una increíblemente detallada simulación que está diseñada para enseñar genética humana, Eve empieza a construir al chico desde cero: ojos, cabello, músculos, incluso cerebro, y rasgos potenciales de su personalidad. Eve está creando a Adán. Y él será simplemente perfecto... ¿Cierto?"

Este libro tiene una trama muy interesante, intensa y con el poder de atrapar al lector. Pero a pesar de todo lo bueno que podría decir sobre este libro, la forma en la cuál fue escrita tira todo abajo. No me ha gustado la forma en la que escriben estos autores. Su escritura a sido muy vaga y apresurada, como si desearan llegar a SU parte favorita y todo lo demás fuera relleno.

El segundo libro es Dorothy Debe Morir de Danielle Paige.

SINOPSIS:  Yo no pedí nada de esto. Leí los libros. Vi las peliculas. Se la canción sobre el arcoiris y los pájaros azules. Pero nunca espere que Oz se viera... así. Dicen que Dorothy encontró una manera de volver a Oz, que se hizo con el poder y que el poder se le fue a la cabeza. Y ahora nadie está a salvo. Mi nombre es Amy Gumm y soy la otra chica de Kansas. Fui reclutada por la Orden Revolucionaría de los Malos. Y tengo una misión: Remover el corazón del hombre de hojalata, robar el cerebro del espantapájaros, tomar la valentía del León y luego... Dorothy debe morir.

Este libro también tiene una trama muy interesante, pero creo que es necesario conocer bien a fondo la historia de El Mago de Oz para tomarle cariño a este libro. Yo conozco bien la historia, pero aún así este libro no me ha gustado nada. Como el otro libro, la escritura tiró abajo toda la emoción de la experiencia. Todo fue muy rápido y vago, sin descripción alguna.

Creo que el problema con estos dos libros que he leído ha sido la escritura. La mayoría de la gente no se fija en eso a veces, sino en el contenido. Pero algo que influye demasiado en mí a la hora de leer un libro es la escritura. Las descripciones la construcción de los personajes y el interior de la historia. Son cosas que generalmente uno ignora, con el fin de solo leer una historia más. Pero yo no soy de esas personas. Tal vez sea que me gusta observar las diferentes formas de escribir o la manera perfecta de llevar al lector a una historia. Y estos libros no han logrado eso.

two different book reviews

These are 2 books I've recently read and I haven't liked or enjoyed at all. I couldn't imagine what to say about them in a normal book review as it would be too short, so I'll do these reviews together. Here.

The 1st book is Eve & Adam by Michael Grant and Katherine Applegate.

SYNOPSIS: In the beginning, there was an apple—. And then there was a car crash, a horrible injury, and a hospital. But before Evening Spiker’s head clears a strange boy named Solo is rushing her to her mother’s research facility. There, under the best care available, Eve is left alone to heal.

Just when Eve thinks she will die—not from her injuries, but from boredom—her mother gives her a special project: Create the perfect boy.

Using an amazingly detailed simulation, Eve starts building a boy from the ground up. Eve is creating Adam. And he will be just perfect... won’t he?

This book has a very interesting and intense theme. But despite all the good things about it, the way it's written ruins the whole thing. I didn't like the way these two author write, not even a bit. Their writing has been a little bit vague and hurry, as if they wanted to get to THEIR favourite part and everything else was just filling up.

The 2nd book is Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige.

SYNOPSIS:  I didn't ask for any of this. I didn't ask to be some kind of hero.

But when your whole life gets swept up by a tornado - taking you with it - you have no choice but to go along, you know?

Sure, I've read the books. I've seen the movies. I know the song about the rainbow and the happy little bluebirds. But I never expected Oz to look like this. To be a place where Good Witches can't be trusted, Wicked Witches may just be the good guys, and winged monkeys can be executed for acts of rebellion. There's still a yellow brick road - but even that's crumbling.

What happened? Dorothy.

They say she found a way to come back to Oz. They say she seized power and the power went to her head. And now no one is safe.

My name is Amy Gumm - and I'm the other girl from Kansas.

I've been recruited by the Revolutionary Order of the Wicked.

I've been trained to fight.

And I have a mission.

This book also has quite an interesting theme, but I think it's also necessary to know The Wizard of Oz's story to like this story as you should. I well know the story, but I still haven't liked this book at all. As the other one, the way it's written ruins the emotion and excitment of the experience. Everything was quick and without descriptions, so there was n special connetion between the book and the reader.

I think the problem with these two books has been the writing. Most people don't even think about it sometimes, but about the story itself. But when I read a book (or not), one of the most influential things I look at is the writing. The descriptions, the way it's written, the building of the characters and the inside of the story. Those are things some people mostly ignore and dodn' think about, but I'm not like that. Perhap's it's because I like observing different kinds of writing and the perfect way of hooking the reader. These books haven't achieved that.
